For me, the very thought of giving up never exists, for this would be to give up on life itself. I suppose this is the kind of dedication that something like this takes, really….

LP1 purchase plan.

The LP1 aircraft experimental kit, retail priced at $68,000 USD, is now offered for purchase.
This price is for the airframe kit which includes all carbon components and also the three landing gear assemblies and the engine mount/ nose gear mount frame.
The LS2 engine package, as a firewall forward setup, is also available for sale. I will offer this as a standalone package at a later date, but will only have capacity to sell engine kits with aircraft purchases for the time being. The LS2 firewall forward package, including 4 blade prop, gearbox, dry sump oiling system, exhaust system and turbo, is retail priced at $34,000 USD. I may offer an upgrade option to the LS7 engine at a later date, but not until I have tested the drivetrain with this extra output.
There will be a few different options to the LP1 kit which I will release at a later date. I will include some bonus items with the first few kits, we can discuss that at time of sale.

I have had some people very interested in investment in Algie Composite Aircraft as a company. Typically this is as a partnership of around 50%. Seems to be a somewhat comfortable deal for those who have a large interest in GA aircraft, but as of yet I haven't actually gone through with this, I have worked long and hard for this and end up having a tough time selling any of it off, really for trade for a quicker time to market on the LP1 kit. But I have to ask; for an investor to want to put money into ACA, they are putting full faith in the LP1 kit, as this is ACA's only product. Why not, instead, just buy a kit I ask? If you invest in ACA before the LP1 prototype flies, the risk is the same as you buying a kit before the prototype flies. A used Legacy sells for about $250k USD, and is a similar aircraft in some respects, so the LP1 should be worth that amount to start with. Flying, you might have $140k USD invested in an LP1 kit, so there's a $110k profit for your time. Divided up over my estimated assembly time of 600 hours, that's $183 per hour, a nice amount for a somewhat fun assembly project. A 26.33% profit per year if you play with the project for three years. Seems like a no brainer to me. And I still get to keep the company intact, headed in the original direction I have talked about for many years, dedicated to nothing else but the LP1. Everyone wins that way I think....
