Flightcage

Our facility is growing because of a unique collaboration of community resources.  Early in 2005 we were able to use a generous grant from Cinergy to fund a project by the East High School C4 building trades students.   Thanks to their hard work, we now have a 12’x36’ cage for the rehabilitation of our medium sized raptor patients.  We have already had10 successful releases using the cage.  The cage was built at East High School under the supervision of teacher, Gene Hack, and trailered to our site and assembled in only one day!

This fall, thanks to another Cinergy grant, Mr. Hack and his students were able to help us once again by constructing an 8x12 songbird aviary.  We’ll have plenty of use for it in the spring when baby bird season begins!
