| The weather
was cloudy for our UTOPIA Open House, but the day was still
perfect. We had lots of food, fun, music and visitors, and we
couldn’t
have been happier with the way it turned out. |
We have so
many wonderful people to thank! Denise Kocur, Roger
Banister and their musical friends, Dennis Marcum and Aaron Law, gave
us a fantastic
Bluegrass accompaniment and we’re so lucky that they could join
us.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR MUSICAL CONTRIBUTION! Thanks to John Kocur for
being a Bluegrass roadie. |

| The Boy Scouts of Troop 555 were great help, and the Gehring family, Camila, Jon, Dominic and William truly are a blessing to us. | And did we
have food! Thanks to a generous gift from Walmart, amazing
donation of specialties from Fourth Street Bar and Grill and canoli
from Johnny Carino’s, no one could possibly leave hungry! Special
thanks to 4th Street’s Kurt Schwarze for his kind help. A number of volunteers made food too, and we’d like to thank Colleen Sweeney, Audrey Blackman, Fay Hare, Ceil Bereskin, Melissa Newcomb and others. |

| We are grateful to Rick Fox for his help with the finishing touches on our landscaping. | Audrey and Richard Blackman, as always, stepped in at the last minute to help save us, and also did the terrific explanatory signs for our cages. We have two fabulous volunteer photographers who donated their works for use in a silent auction for our benefit. Shane Helvie and Dan Kaiser are generous as they are talented. Thank you, everyone, for your interest in our work and your care for wildlife and its future and now for some of the animals... >> |
