Quilting for Wildlife These quilts are being fabricated by members of The Evening Stars Quilt Guild of Columbus, and all of it's members have contributed blocks picturing wildlife, insects, and flowers of Indiana. Pictured here are Vic and Ceil Bereskin (left). Ceil is a friend and veteran quilter who came up with the idea for this fund-raising project. In addition to piecing the quilts, she is coordinating the quilting volunteers. Her husband, Vic, constructed the quilt frame used to hold the quilts while they are being worked on. Here they have just fitted the larger quilt onto its backing. Below are two of our dedicated quilters, on the right is Barbara Baker with Pam Collier to the left. Volunteering for UTOPIA can tap all kinds of talents! The quilts will be displayed at various locations in Columbus in the fall and donation tickets will be available for a drawing. |
