IGS,
International Gender Support is an Indianapolis based organization,
that provides unstructured
social support to any gender dysphoric persons (TS, TG, CD, TV, and
non-categorised) their significant others, families, friends, service
providers and other interested parties.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to actively
guard against those who are judgmental, critical and harmful to the
well being of any member. To provide resource information of all
kinds beneficial to the group and to foster understanding and
cooperation with all facets of society to better enable us all to
progress through life in a secure and healthy manner.
Are You A Transgender
Person?
Not
a question one expects to hear often, but "guestimates" are that at
least one percent of the population would respond "Yes". So why
do many not talk about it openly? It may be because transgender
persons (gender not matching physical body) are unacceptable to many
people, fear of rejection stops them communicating their hidden
feelings or asking questions. Many try not to admit what they see
before their eyes, when suspecting someone they know may be
transgender. They are uncomfortable when something changes our normal
state of affairs and many see this kind of change as a huge threat to
their security.
If this has happened to
you, give us a call, it doesn't matter whether you're
transgender or you
are a friend or relative of someone who has a gender difference.
We offer support and referrals to doctors, therapists, safe places to
go, other support groups, social transitional consulting,
makeovers and
more.
We meet once or twice a month,
or by arrangement. We provide a safe,
friendly,
non-judgmental meeting
place in a private home where all are accepted and equal.

IGS MEETINGS
Each month there is a
pitch
in on the first Saturday and a
coffee evening on the third Tuesday. All our
meetings begin at 7:30.
