Hi, I'm Bob Grice. I was born in Muncie, Indiana during the last millennium. My old man was a sign painter and artist. He taught me about art and other necessities of life. I went to Ball State University where I learned not to believe everything I was told. I've worked in Retail, Graphic Arts, Purchasing and Public Relations. I'm also currently serving on two Boards for non-profit organizations, Adfed of East Central Indiana and Friends of Muncie Public Library. If you're looking for the really juicy stuff you can download my resume. (Yes, I can be bought) Just click the cleverly labeled button above. Or you can email me. I might even read it. Meanwhile, here's some stuff I've done... |

Last fall I put on a kids science program at the public library. It was a hoot. We talked about light and did some cool experiments. Like using polarized lenses (from sunglasses) to show that light is really a wave. Its kind of like a slinky! We used lenses to bend light so we could make things look larger or smaller. I even brought my microscope so we could magnify some really small things by bending light!!!! Then we used a prism and simple refracting spectroscope (made from a CD) to divide the spectrum and learned about different wavelengths of light including invisible radio waves and X rays. Its all just light that you can't see....well except for TV broadcasts but that's a little on the persnickety side, ya think? At least for grade school kids. Don't wanna get to deep, just keep it light. (ouch, that one hurt!) At the end of the program we all got to make our own periscope out of a Pringles can and plastic mirrors. I'd love to do more programs...if they'll let me. I've got programs for Air and Sound so far. I've been a science guy ever since I got my first chemistry set. I think that was just before we built the new garage. I kept up with some kind of science right up through college. Would I BSU? |

I also redesigned the newsletter into a magazine format when I was PR Manager at the library. If I ever figure a way to make money publishing a magazine, LOOK OUT!!!!! It really was my favorite part of the job but we only had to put out four issues a year. I can't imagine the work to put out a monthly. Anybody looking to be on staff for funsies? Oh well, I can dream...... |
While working as Public Relations Manager for Muncie Public Library, I got to do an occasional cartoon. It's easier to get published if you're the editor! Pssssssst........this is one of my cartoons. Okay, it's not very recent but eventually I'll post different ones.....someday.

Okay the photo is really me. Someone at Lifetouch had a photo of me from when we used to organize singles dances back in the 80's. The beard is still there, it's just REALLY REALLY SHORT!!!!! Are my thumbs caught in there? I've been teaching adult art classes at the Muncie Center for the Arts, Classes like Introduction to Painting with Acrylics and Drawing I and II. Kind of a Bob Ross meets Robin Williams. All those taking the class receive their very own Artistic License. Think of it as a graphic get out of jail free card. I print them up in my basement along with tens and twenties. All while earning a name for myself in mid-western underwater basement reclamation. |

It leans toward cartoonists but there are some real people too. Note fellow Hoosier James Whitcomb Riley. Robert Indiana, by the way created the famous stacked letters LOVE sculpture. |
