Meetings/Activities:
The Railfans of Indianapolis (RFI) was
founded in 1937 as the Indianapolis Railfans Club and is one of the oldest rail
enthusiast organizations in the country. RFI meets on the second Saturday of
each month (with an occasional exception) at 7:00 p.m. on the south side of
Member interests vary from contemporary railroad photography to the history of interurbans, so you're bound to meet someone with interests similar to your own. RFI plans group outings from time-to-time, most notably the annual "RFI Longest Day Trip" which is held in late June.
Membership:
Membership dues are $12.00 per calendar
year, which brings you 12 issues of the official publication of the Railfans of
Indianapolis, the Railfan Rambles: To join RFI send your name, address and dues
payment to Larry Nilles, 783 Northampton Row, Danville IN 46122.
