Contact author at: 2945 East CR 67, Anderson, IN 46017 USA Hi, my name is Max. I'm 10 years old and I live in the west of John Treck Town This is how the adventure started that day. It was a quiet Monday Morning. My neighbor's dog went to the dog academy, and my neighbors were in Orlando, Florida. At least it was my summer break, and I can go to the summer camp. Today I started summer camp, summer camp is always fun. We play games, go hiking, and camping. It was 9:00 in the morning, that day. I promised my friend Charlie, I'd come over about ten o'clock. I woke up, to the bacon my mom was cooking. So I got out of bed and brushed my teeth. -3- Hi, mom, bye Mom I said. Aren't you having your breakfast this morning? No, Mom, I promised Charlie I'd come over at ten. Yesterday he told me to come over today. So I went out the door and got on my bike and rode it about a mile and a half just to get to Charlies house. When I got to his home Charlie wasn't there. His mom told me he was at Joe Street Park. So I rode my bike about 2 blocks from his house. I was finally at the park. I found Charlie riding on the swing. I went over to him and said. Hi, Charlie how are you doing? "Not very good, He said", I need two more dollars to get into camp. So I took two dollars and gave them to him.
-4- Charlie and I rode our bikes to the camp. We were greeted by the coach's helper Jim Millard was his name. He showed us around a little bit. He took us to the coach's office. We gave him the money to sign up for the Summer camp. It was a different coach. This coach was nice coach. He had a 18Kt gold necklace that had a cross on it. He asked our names. I said I'm Max and this is Charlie. We got in line to go through the big, big obstacle course. It was our turn. We ran and ran through the obstacle course.
-5- Now it was time to go hiking. Charlie and I found something cool. We stopped admiring it and looked around. Everybody was gone and we were stuck in the middle of the forest. So we went walking around until it rained. We found shelter, it was a huge mountain that looked like a dinosaur' head so we went inside it. We started walking through the strange mountain. We found a boulder blocking an entrance probably to the outskirts of the forest. We started to pull and pull the big rock. Suddenly Charlie stepped on a button that moved the boulder. Finally it had opened and we found ourselves in a dusty and dry area. The whole place was nearly filled with dirt.
-6- We went into the world we had just found. We started to walk slowly through the place. I was walking sort of faster than Charlie. Suddenly, I heard Charlie say Help! real loud. He was sinking in a puddle of mud. I pulled and pulled until the mud let go. This was a strange world. I tried to think where we were. Charlie said maybe we were in Africa. But it wasn't Africa. I said maybe we were in the wild west. Then we found out where we were because we found a Triceratops.
-7- Then another Triceratops came up to us. They were friendly and nice. They gave us a ride on their back. Then we got off their backs and there was probably a hundred dinosaurs living by the swamp. We found food and fresh water. We saw lots of prehistoric animals, some of them were plant eaters. That day we were hiking on a mountain near a huge body of water. Then the mountain started to shake, It was a volcano that was erupting. We couldn't hang on any longer so we jumped into the water.
-8- Then we were spotted by a Tyrannosaurus Rex. We got out of the water and started to run. We kept on running with the dinosaur running after us. Then a vine got caught on our leg. I reached in my pocket to get my pocket knife. I couldn't find it. I kept on digging. The Tyrannosaurus was about a foot away and it was so close I could feel it breathing on my hair.
-9- The vine snapped off our legs and then hit the dino smack in the face, then we ran to the entrance and pushed the rock back into its place, then we ran all the way home and told our Moms and Dads about the adventure. We would remember the adventure we had that day for the rest of our lives. -10- Top of book
