Purpose: To identify the responsibilities of the Membership Chairs position.

Scope: Retains current members and recruits new members for the Section and the Society. Maintains a current roster of all Section members, including enrolled students. Works with the Program and Publicity Committees to promote ASQ membership. This is a one-year term requiring an estimated minimum 3 hours/month to full the responsibilities of the position.

Responsibilities: The Membership Chair reports to the Section Chair. Specific duties are addressed within the Procedure section of this document.

Procedure:

1.0 ASQ Membership Data

1.1 Download data monthly from ASQ National.

1.2 Prepare report, analyze trends, and communicate to the Executive Committee.

1.3 Publish new members' names in the newsletter and write articles.

2.0 Member Recruitment

2.1 Provide membership services at the monthly section meetings.

2.2 Promote Senior Membership upgrades.

2.3 Promote Sustaining Memberships

3.0 Member Feedback

3.1 Create and distribute Feedback Forms.

3.2 Analyze trends and communicate to the Executive Committee
